Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Katie Suzuki Music Ltd ("the Studio"). These terms and conditions apply to the use of this website and to all lessons and services provided by the Studio. By using this website or enrolling for lessons, you agree to these terms.
About us
Katie Suzuki Music Ltd is a New Zealand registered limited company providing online Suzuki piano and violin lessons for children worldwide.
Lessons
Lessons are provided online by qualified, Suzuki-registered teachers. A parent or adult support person is required to be present for lessons, in keeping with the Suzuki method.
Lesson times are booked through the Studio's online booking system. Students and families are expected to attend lessons on time and ensure a reliable internet connection and suitable learning environment.
Lesson recordings
All lessons are recorded for safeguarding and continuity purposes. Recordings are stored securely in the Studio's cloud storage and are retained for up to one year from the date of the lesson, after which they are deleted. Teachers do not store recordings locally. Recordings are not routinely reviewed in full; however, the Studio may periodically review excerpts for quality assurance purposes, and recordings may also be accessed in specific circumstances such as a safeguarding concern or a parent complaint. Parental consent for recording is required before lessons can begin.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel a lesson, please give at least 48 hours' notice via the booking system. Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice will be charged at the full lesson rate.
Payment
Lessons are invoiced at the start of each month for lessons booked during the upcoming month. Payment is due by the due date on the invoice. The Studio also offers subscription-based payment for some services.
Purchases from the online shop are payable at checkout. No refunds are made for digital downloads once accessed.
Intellectual property
All videos, written resources, and other materials provided by the Studio remain the intellectual property of Katie Suzuki Music Ltd. You may use these materials for your own personal learning only. You must not republish, sell, redistribute, or copy any materials from this website without prior written permission.
Practice video uploads
Students may upload practice videos for teacher feedback through the website. Uploaded videos are used internally to support the student's learning and are not shared outside the Studio. Video uploads are limited to 1GB per file and subject to a reasonable-use limit of 5GB per student per week.
